U1e: Full intelligence. Smaller footprint.
U1e is the compact autonomous hospitality robot in the Synthra U1 Series. It runs the same intelligence platform as U1 and U1 Max in a smaller, more maneuverable body, built for cafés, compact restaurants, narrow service areas, and lighter loads like drinks, coffee, and desserts.

How does U1e work in narrow service areas?
U1e has the smallest footprint in the U1 Series and the most maneuverability in constrained spaces. It perceives the gaps between chairs, counters, and guests as they change, decides whether a passage is open, and plans its line through it, so it can serve cafés and tight rooms without fixed lanes.

- Reads the gap.
Chairs, counters, bags, and guests set the space that is actually free. U1e perceives it as it changes, not from a floor plan drawn on day one.
- Decides the line.
It picks a line that fits its footprint through the space that is free right now.
- Re-decides when the gap closes.
A chair slides back or a queue forms at the counter. U1e sees its line close, and picks another or holds for the one that opens first.
One U1 through one complete service in one restaurant.
Same intelligence. Narrower aisles.
Does U1e run the same intelligence as U1 and U1 Max?
Yes. U1e runs the same Synthra intelligence platform as U1 and U1 Max: multimodal perception, vision-language-action reasoning, spatial understanding, contextual navigation, conversational service, and automatic docking. The difference is physical. U1e is smaller, carries lighter loads, and moves more easily through tight spaces, which is why it suits cafés and narrow aisles.

People, tables, objects, pathways, and service areas, understood as the scene changes.
Multimodal perception. The same on U1e, U1, and U1 Max.

Language and vision are grounded in physical action: a request becomes a plan the robot can execute.
Vision-language-action. The same on U1e, U1, and U1 Max.

Tables, kitchen, service areas, docking locations, and free space form a working model of the venue.
Spatial understanding. The same on U1e, U1, and U1 Max.

Guests ask about the menu and order in their own words; the robot turns the exchange into a service task.
Conversational service. The same on U1e, U1, and U1 Max.

When service ends, the robot chooses to stand by or charge, returns to its dock, and reconnects on its own.
Automatic docking. The same on U1e, U1, and U1 Max.
Every capability above runs on every U1 model. The body is what changes.
How the Synthra intelligence platform worksWhere does U1e work best?
U1e works best where space is tight and loads are light: cafés, compact restaurants, and narrow service areas. It carries drinks, coffee, desserts, and small orders, and handles lightweight table service in rooms where a larger robot would be hard to fit.

How does U1e compare with U1 and U1 Max?
U1e runs the same Synthra intelligence platform as U1 and U1 Max; only the body differs. U1e has the smallest footprint and the most maneuverability, for cafés, drinks, and narrow aisles. U1 carries larger orders across full restaurant floors and buffets. U1 Max carries the most, runs the longest, and adds fleet coordination for large venues.

What does a venue set up before U1e starts service?
Deployment starts with understanding, not route programming. U1e enters the venue, explores it, and builds its own spatial understanding of tables, pathways, service areas, and docks. The venue uploads its menu, menu descriptions, dietary and service information, and operating parameters, then sets a standby area and a docking location.

Questions about U1e
Answers for operators planning a deployment. For anything specific to your venue, talk to Synthra. Choosing between models or looking for dimensions? See the U1 Series questions.
Can U1e take orders and answer menu questions?
Yes. U1e has the same conversational service as every U1 model. Guests can ask about dishes and dietary information in their own words and order at the table. Each exchange becomes a structured service task that U1e carries out on its own, within its lighter payload.
Does U1e dock and charge by itself?
Yes. Automatic docking is part of the shared intelligence platform. When U1e finishes a task, it decides whether to wait in its standby area or charge, navigates to its designated dock, connects, and reports itself available again. U1e has its own battery and endurance profile; figures are published once validated.
Is U1e a good fit for a café?
Yes, if your service is mostly drinks, coffee, desserts, and small orders, and your floor has narrow aisles or tight counters. U1e is the most maneuverable U1 model in constrained spaces. If you also serve larger food orders or run a buffet, compare it with U1, the general-purpose model.
Bring U1e into your space.
Tell Synthra about your venue: layout, aisles, and what you serve. The team will confirm whether U1e fits and what deployment involves.
